VoIP Features & Guides

What are timed call charges?

With atpNET, calls to Australian mobiles and international calls are charged as timed calls. To keep our bills simple & easy to understand, atpNET timed calls are calculated and billed by the second with no minimum or flagfall charges. Compare this simplicity to the competition, who hide call charges with “flagfall” fees, charging incremental “time blocks” and minimum call durations, you will see atpNET comes out on top for both simplicity and fairness.

What is DID?

Direct Inward Dialing or DID is a common term for what is essentially just a phone number. Like all other phone numbers it can be reached from any telephone in Australia or the World. atpNET uses the term DID because some VoIP services do not include a DID as part of the package, for example atpNET’s $0 Plan which can only be used to make outgoing phone calls. Having a DID with your VoIP service means all your friends and family will be able to call you, whether or not they are using VoIP.

Can people call me if they’re not using VoIP?

Yes, they can. As long as your atpNET VoIP plan provides a DID, which is actually a phone number. Simply provide your DID to your friends, family, customers or business associates and all they need to do is make phone calls in the same old way. Pick up the phone, dial the DID and start talking.
